The Brief:
On this build our clients wanted to fully reimagine their garden space in a modern but classic style. They wanted a new patio for cooking and entertaining, kitchen garden for growing, new fencing for added privacy, a small shed for much needed storage and a new lawn to tie everything together.
The project was a client led partnership, we consulted with them at every stage of the build making sure we made their dream garden a reality.
The Design And Build:
The main focal point of this garden transformation was always going to be the new patio as the clients really wanted to use this space for entertaining in the summertime. We opted to use a porcelain slab as this gave a very clean and modern finish and looked great against the backdrop of the heritage red facing bricks of the wall. The wall was used to enclose the patio to give a cosy feel and add additional seating when entertaining large groups.
Additional features we built included:
- Small kitchen garden with raised beds.
- Picket fence to separate the kitchen garden from the dog friendly main garden.
- Small shed for additional storage
- New Closeboard fence with sleeper retaining wall to keep the lawn level.
- The old lawn was in bad health and uneven so it was removed and turfed to achieve a flat and quality grass area.
The Outcome:
Our clients now have a wonderful garden giving them the functionality they wanted but not compromising on entertaining space for those lovely summer days.
